Randi and James

Randi and James' Photos

Here are images from Randi and James' wedding of March 20, 2010. Both the bride and groom's families were wonderful to work with. I think one of the coolest aspects of the wedding was that Randi made her own wedding gown, shoes and veil. It was very exciting for me to work on the images because I knew that both Randi and I had a love for vintage styles so I was able to bring that theme into my editing. We began shooting at Randi's mom's house while she got ready and before we knew it, the evening was drawing to a close in Belmar. The church was very accommodating by letting me enter the balcony area and we had a perfect day of weather for shooting at the park and the beach in Spring Lake. What a perfect day.

Lee and Jennifer

I kept in touch with Lee and Jennifer from the date I booked their wedding, and everyone who knows them can tell they are so in love. As their wedding day approached I was very excited to work with them because I knew that the photos would come out great due to the close bond they had. Although they were nervous, Jennifer and Lee were both extremely laid back and very easy to work with. Their tight knit family and friends were amazing and they kept the reception lively. This wedding was shot at the Sterling Ballroom in Eatontown, New Jersey on Valentines Day weekend of 2010. Since Lee is a tattoo artist I am waiting to hopefully take photos of him in action one day. :)

Fran and Debra - A Christmas Wedding

Francis and Debra planned a special Christmas themed wedding that was more a party for all of their friends and family. The ceremony took place in a beautiful church built in the 1800's in Staten Island and the reception was at EJ Michael's. The best part of the evening was that the first snow of the year took place as we exited the church and made our way to the limo. Above is a photo of that moment.

Kristen and Justin - Post Wedding Shoot

Justin and Kristen were referred to me by the great Cheryl Matias (of Something New by Cheryl - Day of Coordinator) who was one of my past brides. Funny thing is that Kristen and I knew each other as we used to work together at a law firm. Justin and Kristen were married in July and they wanted to do a post wedding shoot with me to try and get a different perspective on things. We hit the downtown Philadelphia area and took photos at Love Park, the Rocky stairs at the Philadelphia Museum, City Hall and Paddy's Pub. I have always loved street photography and gritty photos so it was great to combine that with a couple of snazzy dressers. I can say that shooting in Philadelphia was great. I would never have gotten away with any of our poses had I tried to shoot them in New York City. I was able to lay down in the middle of a busy street (on a median) and shoot the couple with City Hall in the background. If I would have done that in New York I would probably be in jail right now! Anyway Philadelphia, my one gripe is that most people thought the couple had actually gotten married that day, and other than those who had really nice things to say, two people had some discouraging words for the couple. It is not nice to tell a groom he had just committed suicide in front of his bride on their supposed wedding day! That will make a bride cry. I am glad it was not their actual wedding day and that it was a post wedding day shoot. It was kind of funny though. I love Philly.

Larry and Tina

Larry and Tina had both their ceremony and reception at The Primavera Regency. The staff and the food were excellent. Tina was radiant and you could really see how in love she and Larry were. Tina's mom was so sweet and she reminded me of my own Italian family. Too bad little Dookie (the pomeranian) couldn't make it to the festivities!

Peter and Stephanie

Peter and Stephanie were such a beautiful couple and their families were a blast. I have never seen such a swinging party, as their reception at Merrimakers in Sea Bright. I do not think one person remained in their seat. What a great time for everyone. It seemed more like a giant bash than a wedding reception and it kicked off with a song by Kiss. You can't beat that!
